Giving a Goat – June 2016 Edition

Give a Goat

OK, the June edition is a little late… but better late than never!

First off, we’d like to say a big thank you to all of our clients who have referred a friend and/or provided their 2015/16 self assessment information to us.  We love our charitable projects so it’s great to see our clients buying into it with us!

The full update on our charitable schemes is below.

Refer a friend or colleague

In the March edition we set a target of 15 new client referrals from our existing clients.  The number of referrals we received fell short of that with a total of 9 referrals being received.

We’ve now arranged for 9 goats to be sent to Kenyan families. The donations makes a huge difference to the families by going toward sponsoring the goat and providing the breeding infrastructure.  While the breeding program is under way, a small amount of income can be generated through the sale of anti-HIV goats milk and goat meat.  In the long term, the production of other products such as soap, cheese and yoghurt will create additional income as well.

We’re pleased with this number but we still think a target of 15 across July, August and September is achievable.  So give a goat and give our details to your friends, family, colleagues and associates!

Provision of self assessment information by 31 August

As of today we have received the 2015/16 self assessment information from 122 clients.  This is already more than at this stage last year but still short of our target of 200.

Fear not as there are still 29 days to help us reach our target.

Remember, not only do you get your tax return off your to-do list, avoid penalties and have longer to plan for your tax liabilities but by sending us your information before August has ended means we donate a malaria treatment for a child.

Our donation covers the costs needed for a full malaria treatment.  It is essential that malaria is diagnosed and treated immediately.  The disease can be cured if treated quickly but fatal if ignored.  The cost of treatments can be unimaginable for poor and marginalised communities.

Join us in October to see how our charitable aims are progressing!
