BREAKING NEWS
Nick Clegg has been appointed as the Governor of the Isle of Fernado’s.
In a move which will surprise many the Deputy PM has today resigned and will start his new job after a two week holiday at an undisclosed location.
Friends of Clegg said he was delighted with the move. “He’s being trying to get to Fernado’s for the last few years but no one would pick him” commented a close friend.
Clegg has announced some popular policies already. Tuition fees will be scrapped when the Isle of Fernado’s Love Academy opens in 2028.
But it does look like controversy will follow him. Plans for a new Flip-Flop tax, proposed after Clegg saw Mitt Romney in a really nice pair of flip flops, are likely to incense locals who favour the footwear. It is thought to be unlikely that the Randy Tax – a levy on people who sleep with ‘no more than 30 women’ will be introduced. “I think that idea has been put to bed now” said spokesman Paddy McGuiness with a wink.
